Welcome to ICWL & SETE 2024

ICWL is an annual International Conference on Web-based Learning, founded by the Hong Kong Web Society. The first ICWL was held in Hong Kong in 2002. Since then, ICWL has been held in Australia (2003), China (2004, 2008, 2010, 2015), Hong Kong (2005, 2011), Malaysia (2006), United Kingdom (2007), Germany (2009), Romania (2012), Taiwan (2013), Estonia (2014), Italy (2016), South Africa (2017), Thailand (2018), Germany (2019), China (2020), Macao, China (2021), Spain (2022) and Australia (2023). The 23rd ICWL will be held on December 18th–20th, 2024 at Shanghai University, Shanghai, China. It will feature a technical program of refereed papers selected by the international program committee, and keynote addresses offered by eminent scholars.

SETE 2024, the eighth Annual International Symposium on Emerging Technologies for Education is also this year organized in conjunction with ICWL 2024, thanks to the Shanghai University. SETE 2024 is organized in a main track, where research papers about the SETE Topics can be submitted, and in an array of workshops, which will help achieve inclusion and diversity in the overall offer of the symposium. All accepted papers (main track and workshops), presented at the conference, will be published as a volume dedicated to SETE in the Springer series Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS).

Conference Proceedings

All accepted papers presented during ICWL-SETE 2024 will be published in Lecture Notes on Computer Science (LNCS) which is indexed by EI.

Authors from selected best papers will be invited to extend their papers to be published in an approved special issue in IEEE Transactions on Learning Technologies.
